    ATA 2014 show in Nashville

Sometimes you get lucky, the ATA show is in downtown Nashville this year. 12 miles away!

Getting married the Saturday before the show - have to convince the fiance that attending the ATA show would add to the honeymoon! LOL.

Can you actually get in? Are you a dealer or some kind of buyer in the archery industry? If not, you probably cannot get in anyways.

I thought long and hard about coming back for the show. I lived in Rutherford County before I moved out here. I have a lot of friends there.

I just can't justify the cost. For what it would cost me to travel to and go to the show I could buy a new bow and some fun stuff.
I shoot bows. All kinds of bows.

My opinions are MY OPINIONS. Take them for what they are worth.

There's always a way into almost any show.

You are wrong on that. The ATA is a DEALER ONLY show, you have to either be a dealer, or get a badge through your local dealer, to get in to the show. If you have a TV show, or write for a magazine then you can get media credentials, other than that you are out of luck. It's not a show for tire-kickers to get in the way of a lot of orders being written and business being taken care of. There are plenty of other consumer shows for that.

You are a bit off on that one......

I know several folks that get in every year without being a dealer, having a TV show or write for a magazine.

Well, getting an invite to the show has been accomplished.
Now comes the hard part - the show is during my honeymoon.
My fiance isn't totally opposed but...

I got in last year at louisville. I am just a consumer. It truly is amazing that I could just walk in the door. They gave me a pass when I got in. I didn’t go until Wednesday though.

People have made it into more important events like at the White House hosted by the President without a invitation You should be able to pull off the ATA.

I can't wait to shoot all the new bows and I am really looking forward to hitting the local bars and try to pick up a couple women, heard the Tin Roof is the hot spot.

Well, despite claims to the impossibility of getting in, I did visit the show on the last day - without asking for help from any vendors and it didn't cost me a penny.
I was only there for a few hours but had a great time shooting some bows and checking out the new goodies for 2014 - even met Kevin Strother.
