    2014 Obsession Evolution Review #2 60lb.

Thought I would do a review of a 60# Evolution for you guys that like to shoot 60#. I must say that this bow drew and shot so smooth and dead it's really remarkable. It makes me want to start shooting a 60 pound bow. It just pulled so smooth and easy and the speeds are still great. This bow is dead quiet too!

    Here is a quick rundown.

    29in. draw length

    61.2 lbs

    5 15/16 in. Bh

    32 1/16 Ata

    300.9 gr arrow

    Jim Fletcher Tru-peep and loop

    Speed = 332.5fps

Calculates out to about 351fps ibo

I am very, very impressed with this bow. The fact that bow can put out this kind of speed and be so quiet and dead at the shot is just dang sweet. I hope you guys find this review helpful.

If any of you are interested in the Evolution or have any questions let me know. I have bows in stock.

Wow! I'm really thinking going with a new Evolution ! I also have a 30" dl, so I get good speeds out of 60lb limbs
Ideally 65lb limbs would be perfect for me,
I've heard 70lb limbs turned down to 65, are slower than a true 60lb limb?
    Any truth in that?

I would no worry about that. Get what you want. If you know your not going to shoot more than 65# get a 65#er.

If you want the option to shoot up to 70# get a 70#er.

Either way the bow will shoot just fine.

Can you run a hunting arrow through the 60# bow.
Some thing like a 400+ arrow.

I will be happy to test whatever you guys want. 450 grs.?

Let me see if I can find a piece of re-bar lying around.

You guys would call me a light weight. My hunting arrow is 325 grs.

Mine are 500gr and they blow thru everything even Block targets, so 450gr would give me an idea.
Any news when Sniper GT starts shipping?

All right guys here you go. Evolution at 29/61 with peep/loop

    405 gr. arrow = 293fps

    577 gr. arrow = 245fps

This will give you some idea of what your looking at. I think it is nice speeds with these weights for a 60#er.

Ok guys here is my first review out of the box I slapped on a LD prov a peep and loop and a BG acent ambush at 30dl and 60.7 pounds.Black eagle rampage 300 at 426 gr =291,291,293 and a Black eagle ximpact at 386.4gr=297,301,303.these were getting higher as I shot maybe the strings and cables settling down??i did shoot it 4 times threw paper and within 2 shots had perfect holes with the ximpacts.these were shot threw a pro chrono.the draw is just as good as my knightmare and as for vibe it's non exsistent to me.And the plus here is that I was able to shoot with both shoes on as the cam lean was very little.i will have a better review as I'm waiting on my new chrono.

I've been able to shoot the Evo and Phoenix and they both send the arrow down range with some velo. If I was forced to buy one today, I'd get the Phoenix because I've had my best luck with 7" bh bows.
