There were other very similar heads way before the GD. RM made one as some others. The hybrid is a good BH and no surprise that others have improved them over the older models. GD did a nice job improving and others have noticed their success. What differentiates their design is the crossover of the swing blades. Maybe it's better, maybe it's not. I'm glad they are doing an all steel, because their aluminums were all one and done for me, but then I have very high KE. They do make big holes.

Yea I know .. And not just swing blades but kick out blades that are sharp to Te point .. I know the past bh makers as well and I know the gd inside out . Shot a doe with the 125 steel last day of season ... I don't need a lesson in the difference or past .. And yes I'm sure they saw the popularity of the hybrid grave digger and did in fact make a copy as close as they could which was my point ... Have a good one

    Hey all,

This is Jace from Grim Reaper Broadheads. We are very excited to start launching our new product line for 2014. We have had near a dozen new broadheads designed for the past several years. With the recent move to our new facility we are finally able to launch new products with plenty of machining capacity. If you look at the history of the fixed combined with mechanical style broadheads, there are multiple designs over the years like this. We knew this with the launch of our "Hybrid" broadhead. There are features to our broadhead that are exclusive to our "Hybrid". It still uses our patented springs system, our Hades sharpened back edge fixed blades, and our patented "V" notch tip. The accuracy, penetration, and performance you will achieve with our head will be impressive. If another company beats us to a design, but we still feel it is a productive move for us we will move forward with the product. Grim Reaper will continue to provide innovative, high quality, and USA made broadheads for years to come! I hope this gives you all some insight as to what Grim Reaper for the upcoming years!

Amazing how when one company does it its innovation and then when another company does it then its a copy. A lot of designs have been out there for a long time. One company takes an existing design and simply improves or changes things here or there to make it their own. Almost all the companies are doing it and I don't see it as copying, I see it as fine tuning. Its up to you decide which one you like best and go with it. I for one will be checking them out. Just one quick question, is the hybrid model steel as well? If so I will try it for sure.

It's been getting a lot of interest from a lot of people. I think it will be a very popular head for Grim Reaper this year!
