I like Thunderstrut better. I have no desire to be associated with any sort of terrorist name.

LOL been doing this for years too BRO.....been on previous teams with that name too so it is what it is .........

On your thread 2 days ago..... lol....I'm not mad at all..... just funny

Alright, Thunderstrut it is. Team 2 isn't going to be happy since they were tossing that name around as well, but hey, I came up with it a couple years ago so it's fair game. We're not here to make any friends anyways, right boys.....time to get the game face on!

Five or six strutters in the field this morning. Season is still a ways off but they will be ready when the weather turns.

Birds have been really active around my place the last few days, now if we can get the cold weather out of here, winter will not end here in Michigan

Well crap. I had two great hunts on Saturday, but unfortunately missed a nice tom. My bullhead was so close I might have chopped off part of his snood. I was in a 4 acre cut corn field and about 30-40 birds pitched into it. At one point I counted 10 toms strutting at once. None of the jakes were strutting. After an hour and a half one of the toms broke off and started heading my way, drumming the whole time. At 15 yards he started getting very nervous. When I drew he starting walking away slowly. I shot at approx 20 yards and just barely missed. Of course he started putting and the whole flock got nervous and moved out. That afternoon I hunted the opposite corner of the same field and saw a lot of birds, but none showed any interest. Easily the most birds I have ever seen in one day.
