Good luck tomorrow jwg!
Good luck tomorrow jwg!
Was finally able to make it out to my honey hole. Mud season has had the road closed for about a week and a half. Not as much sign as I was hopping. But there was some. The clover field is just starting to grow. Should be good on another two weeks. Put my trail camera on a dusting bowl. Hope to get a few good pics.
Had a couple close calls. They just won't commit. This has been the weirdest season ever for me. Oh well, after them again.
It is getting so close I can smell it. Youth weekend is just about here. I have no youths to take. But looks like crap for weather. Cold and rain. Only 6 more days. Picked up a few extra broadheads today and some Sawyers bug spray.
Heard one bird going nuts today when I was practicing at the club.
Very nice - Congrats!!!
Checked my camera today. More than disappointing to say the least. Only one pic of a turkey and a bunch of coyotes. PRMS0079.jpg
Coyotes are looking for food everywhere here. I wouldn't worry about them. I saw a coyote spook a gobbler this year. He flew up in a tree and flew back down about 30 mins later after the coyote left. Didn't seem to bother the turkey much.
Windy as hell here in Northeast Nebraska. Now there talking a chance of snow Thursday . I can even get a shock gobble. Or it is just because of the wind I cannt hear them.

Congrats TDOGG! Season starts on Saturday for me...I am SOOOO ready to get after them!
All Right!!! Well done. I get my chance to help out tomorrow morning.
Everything is all set. Now let's hope this rain clears out. Took the next two mornings off.
Hunting with a friend tomorrow. Taking the wishbone from last years bird to see who shoots first.
Looks like I will be sitting in the rain
Poured till 8:30. Heard first gobble at 11:45 hunting ends at noon. Back at it tomorrow.
Opening day is tomorrow! All packed up and ready to get after them. Good Luck to my fellow PA teammates who will finally get to start hunting and everyone else that is still chasing them.
Called in a hen at first light. Then had two toms come in but they stayed just on the back side of a knoll and never saw the decoys.
