My God... I am sorry to hear that. I'm not on your team or anything but wanted to offer my condolences for your loss. My dogs are like my children and I can only imagine the pain that loseing your best friend and your home all at once must bring. My heart goes out to you and I hope you can find strength in friends and family.

What broad heads are you guys shooting for birds this year. I'm a slick trick guy think I might try kill zones after I saw what they do to a deer

100 gr slick trick mags. Same as deer hunting setup. Tried killzones during deer season because of what 1 did to buddies deer. I shot 1 at deer and it made a buzzing sound and stuck in ground almost 20 yards past deer. Shot a 2nd time at same deer, buzzed and hit 5 feet right of deer. Got 3rd shot at 30 yards with slick trick. Eating steak today for lunch. Nothing to deflect off of so truly believe they deployed when shot. Shooting around 325fps so not sure if thats the problem with them but either way no more mechs for me.
Also they were strutting in the blowing snow yesterday. Come on saturday

Just called him in. He came on a dead run and stopped behind this tree. Strut, spit, gobble. Everything but go the few more steps to decoys. Couldn't draw. He got nervous and putted off. Shotgun would have been ideal. Now why did I bring my bow again...lol

The plan is to kill a monster of a bird with 6 beards and 2" spurs. Heading back out in morning. Been horrible weather today but should clear up tonight. Gonna start near where I had that tom so close and then just roll from there. I've got a good spot to setup but will have to clear a few little starts from the ground. Trimmers already packed. Your opener is coming up fast. Ready?

Pretty good idea where to start. Been hunting this farm for 15 years. Just a few spots they tend to roost majority of time.
