    anyone else shoot formal xbow target archery?

    Has anyone else ever shot a NAA indoor or vegas type tournament with an xbow?

    Closest I ever managed was a few shots with Hardy Ward's target crossbow in around 1978. If I recall correctly, it was a custom job with Hoyt recurve limbs cut short, maybe 60# draw, and shot something like a 1616 aluminum. No rail, just a free launcher rest and a trigger with a D loop. Huge over-the-shoulder stock, Chek-it target sight. Insanely accurate.

    that was the ticket for years. The trackless bows are now considered obsolete-mainly because if you need a new string, it takes a long time to get the rig sighted in again. The Germans sort of lead the way and tracked bows dominate-for years it was easier to make a trackless bow since the stock/rail has to be perfect on a tracked bow.

    Shot last year

    I shot in the NAA nationals last year. I took this year off due to knee problems. I shoot an Ausbow. It a track bow with 90 pound limbs.
