I don't think so. I had pictures of 3 different bucks with arrows in them in 2012. None of the neighbors fessed up though.

It is an arrow, hoping from last season and not someone poaching. It looks healed.

I got some video of an Antelope with a arrow hanging out of his neck a few years ago. Lodged in there good. When I called Fish and Game, they knew about it, said a couple others had let them know also. Wish I could post some video.
If it walks like a Duck, Quacks like a Duck and looks like a Duck, good chance it's a Freaking Duck

Got a good idea. I had 3 with arrows in them, same angle, 2 years ago, but no one has confessed.

That's a shame that the arrow is stuck there BUT, I am just amazed at the ability of the whitetail deer to survive!

To survive the arrow wound initially, then survive the midwest winter we just had, and evade it's natural wild predators!(yotes & wolves)

Is it possible the arrow wasn't tipped with a broadhead and maybe some fool shot an arrow with just a field point?

Looks like right above the spine? Hate to see this but it's unfortunately going to happen some times. He looks like he's going to be a nice buck this season though!
