Deer Creek seed CS is Amazing

I order seed from them Monday and asked if it would be here by Friday because Iam going to Indiana to plant food plots Saturday, they said it would be
here by Wednesday , it came today Tuesday with a free 5lbs bag of coated sugar beats seeds to try and 5% off my next order.Amazing service!!
excited to see how this seed compares to the others I have tried...going with their wildlife Brassica blend, Beats and Sweets blend, and the free coated
Sugar Beat seeds. I will see if the deer like it better and how it grows to the others I have tried..just thought I would share the good service I received

Deer Creek seed is at the top of the seed food chain...they grow a lot of their own seed.....they clean their own seed....they distribute their own seed.....they have certified crop advisors on staff, agronomists and nutritionists. A few years ago in my independent food plots, deer creek seed blew away some of the fancy bagged companies. The 15 point buck i shot was actually shot in deer creeks succulent succotash plot. I had a seed buying group for over 20 year and got a hold of deer creek seed because a lot of friends businesses sold their products...the rest is history...

I only tried them once and must have got a bad fall mix batch. I got a lot of weeds not native to my land. Not a deal breaker. I'm going to kill it all off and put beans in next year and maybe re-try and see if I get a lot of weeds again.

All seed purchased is required to have the level of weeds in each bag. Most will note that deer creek will have probably the lowest amount of weed seeds in most of their products, especially the grains as they clean their own seed and have perhaps the most state of the art cleaning equipment.

For some reason i cant attach a pic tonight but i have 4 foot tall winfred brassicas from deer creek seed. I even clipped them twice down to 8-12" height and deer have been consumming them since late June. The key to success is the right seed, at the right time using the right agronomic principles. It all starts with the soil....

Nice looking plots. I don't buy seed with a deer picture on it as I find that it is way over priced. Go to your Co-op and you will save a lot of cash.

You will save cash that's for sure but also have a lot more noxious weed in the mix depending on the brand bought. In reality look at all the money spent on prep of the plot plus we don't wince at spending over $1000 on bow set up alone. What's a couple more bucks for a mix that is pre-made and tested? I'm all for saving a couple bucks too and went to the coop on my last plot with not as good results. The main seeds were cheap but turnips were EXPENSIVE. Each there own, try for yourself and stick with what works.

Deer creek seed sells turnips for $2.56 a lb......not 8 or $10 a lb but $2.56 and if one used 5-7 lbs of seed per acre...thats about as inexpensive as one can get

    Other cheap food plot options
dwarf essex rape runs one around $10 an acre
Winfred brassica runs one around $20 an acre
Radish runs one around $16 an acre

I worked very hard on my plots. I pay a lot of money for my lease, every time I go to my lease gas for my jeep is $120 there and back. the funny thing is
Deer Creek Seed was way cheaper then the others I tried the last two years..with better results and SUPER customer service. I found a winner for me
and I am staying with DCS for all my food plot needs.I just can not risk all that money and hard work to get bad results or old seed like I did before.
I will take new pics when I get back down there...
