    Plots for this year

Ive been working these plots for about 4 years now, and there is still more to do. Most of with is just adding lime and fertilizing, winter over seeding and spot weeding, but definitely productive. First is the clover plot, second is clover plot a little closer. Third pic is plot #2. this was after spraying and mowing a few weeks ago, and is now just been disc'd, limed, and planted with purple top turnips, t-raptor forage brassica, and the same mix of 3 clovers that the big clover plot is done in. It is mostly the brassicas though. The last pic is plot #3, that was also done this weekend with discing, and planting, but heavy with the clovers, and a smaller mix of the 2 brassicas to work for this season. Usually these plots had been done in just purple top turnips, and have worked great. Deer absolutely loved them, and would eat them down to the ground before archery season even started. Just thought ide mix it up this year and go with something more perennial.

Looks great. Thanks for sharing. You mentioned you started this 4 years ago. How soon did you see results from the plots in terms of number of deer, quality of deer, etc.? I just started 4 plots this summer and look forward to seeing how they do over the years.
