I riser mount some and some I mount on the sight, it just depends on what sight and how you want the bow to look/function. Those will work nicely either way.
you can buy the quiver with or without the riser mount. The riser mount isn't needed, its a $20 option. if using a pendulum/slider type sight like a HHA, then it seems to be the better way to mount the quiver.
