My understanding of the rules for BHFS is that stabs have to be inline with the threads in the riser. This meant no down angle QD's. So.....with the 10 deg down angle built in the riser of the Victory I'm assuming it will be legal to run a front bar with the down angle.
Ok. Thanks. The Victory has both a straight AND 10 deg down insert.
I had just read this from an NFAA official in Va. and "straight" seems a little vague if you read how he interrupts it.
"A straight stabilizer means that the stabilizer, however straight itself, must be inline with the threaded hole or insert in the bow handle. Otherwise, an adapter, knuckle, offset, or other similar device would be needed to create the down angle. Then the stabilizer would not be "straight".
I am the VA director and this is how I would rule. If I can unscrew your stabilizer from your bow and the threads that screw into the bow/insert are not inline with the stabilizer, your stabilizer would not be legal. Everything that screws into the bow/insert must be straight and inline."

Not how I read it al all. Straight as I read it means you can't use the "hammer" style stabs.
"One straight stabilizer, coupling device included if used, which cannot exceed 12 inches at any time, as measured from the back of the bow, V-bar, counterbalance and string dampeners may be used." From the NFAA by laws page 32
Since the manufacturer built the bow that way and you did nothing to change the angle of the stabilizer it should be legal to shoot BHFS in the NFAA. Now if you put on something on to increase the angle than yes that would be illegal to use. The way they have been changing the rules over the years for BHFS I would bet that a angled stabilizer will become legal
It's like the Rytera Seeker I had. Where do you measure it as the grip slides on rails and you put your stabilizer at the end of one and that rail is a good 4-5" from the main riser.
I am sure with two holes you pick the straight one.
Get your director to ask NFAA RIC for a ruling, asap. There have been other bows with an angled bushing, and about 15 years ago I believe a ruling to allow was made on this same issue and upheld at yearly BOD meeting, but somehow (mistake??) no change was made in the rules---thereby voiding the ruling.
