Hi my name is Brian and after many many years of building and shooting traditional archery gear I have decided it is time to give Olympic style archery a try!! After some poking around here I decided on a set up and ordered from LAS the Following:
SF Axiom Plus Light 25" Recurve Riser
W&W SF Premium Plus Recurve Limbs #34 Medium Length
W&W Sebastian Flute Axiom Recurve Sight
X-Spot HOCKii Finger Tab
I also ordered a case to go along with it all.
Not a super high end rig by any means but with the info I gathered from a few days poking around I felt it was a solid enough starting point and was well within my budget costing just a smidge over $300 shipped.
I draw 27" on the nose and plan on shooting mostly 20 yard indoor spots. My question is for a casual archer like myself who has no intention of competing would xx75 platinums in 1816 be a good arrow choice? I have used xx75 arrows for decades with trad gear alongside wood shafts but was wondering if there a better alternative at a similar price point for this style of archery? (The old budget aint what she use to be!!) I also understand there is going to be a bit more tuning involved with this style of bow as well and was wondering if the xx75 presents any challenges in that department as well.
And lastly just wanted to say thanks to those of you who post here and freely share your knowledge and experience. I have found this to be the case in archery in general and nice to see it here as well.
Thank You - Brian
