I know threads like this seem to be a dime a dozen, but I find them enjoyable to share, compare, and contrast what everyone's toting in the woods! I'll get things started, my setup this Deer season is an Xpedition Xcentric7 30"@60#s. My current arrows are Black Eagle Rampage 300's with Brass HIT inserts up front, coming in around 480grains...however i'm looking to build a slightly lighter arrow, in the 400-420gr range to pick up a little speed.
'06 Allegiance/62lbs/29.5"draw w/speed mods/Velocity 340's/28"/375grs/303fps/76lbske/.504mo. this year with a Exodus 100gr full on the front...I shot this arrow combo for the first time this past Friday and WOWZA !!! Those Exodus flew like a dart...hit right with my FP's out to 50 yds and they are silent too, unlike the Slick Mags.......this will be one deer killin' set up this season...BTW, good by Slick Tricks(thats what happens when you dolts discontinued the Razortricks, dont need ya any longer !! ..... Bye !!..)
2014 Lycan/2015 Blade, 60# max's @ 62#, 28.5" DL, Dead Center Stab setup on Blade, BE Rampage .350 arrows with insert and 100 gr Magnus Stinger or Black Hornet BH's. 3 Blazer vanes. Total arrow weight right at 400 gr. Lycan is at 284 fps; Blade is too new....not setup 100% yet.
60# Bear Mauler (2012 i believe) at 28" draw.
5575 GoldTip XT hunters with 125 grain heads, helical blazers and wraps (total weight around 420 grains).
no idea how fast the arrows are flying so i'll give a different number instead. 100 yards = total length of tracking i had to do on 2 deer. both pass thru's.
I was shooting a Martin Prowler Pro at 62lbs, 28"DL, 401grn arrow at 257fps over my chrono.
Right now I'm working on a Martin Blade with Full Throttle cams. My first go ended up with 30lb draw...lol. 28"DL, 401grn arrow is 200fps. My new strings should arrive in a day or two and those should bump up the draw weight to around 60lbs. Looking forward to seeing what happens with this one.
My Bowtech 60#s 29" draw. 2216 XX75 Easton Aluminum tipped with 125 gr. 3 blade fixed Rocky Mountain Ironhead-arrow weight over 500grns.
My Darton 60#s 29" draw 1913s Easton Platinum Plus tipped with 125 gr. 3 blade fixed Rocky Mountain Ironhead-arrow 395 grns & also used for Field/target & 3-D with 125 gr. field point.
My Ozark Mountain 50# 68" Longbow. 29" 11/32" wood shaft tipped with a 125 gr 3 Blade Rocky Mountain Razor. No idea of arrow weight.
Hoyt Maxxis 35 29"/62ish
500 Grain GT Pro Hunter (.300 spine with 200 grains up front. 20% FOC.)
260ish FPS. The #2 cam on these Hoyts in the last slot are really, really efficient.
Mine are in my signature. Main bow will be the 2010 Hoyt Maxxis 35, 29" dl, 60 pound bow maxed out shooting Beman ICS Hunter arrows cut to 28" with three 4" feathers and Rocket Steelhead 125s on the front. Backup bow is a 2007 Hoyt Vectrix XL, 29" dl, 60 pound bow maxed out shooting Cabelas Stalker Extreme arrows cut to 28" with three 4" Duravane Predators and Rocket Steelhead 100s on the front. Don't know how fast they are. Probably in that 265-270 fps range.
