    Bear Blacktail Hunter

I have recently acquired a compound bow and now my kids and I have found out we really like archery. But my question is the bow I have is apparently quite old I was told by a employee at a archery store where I was trying to get new sights and other new equipment for it. Anyways what I have is a Bear blacktail hunter by bear archery and was told it was in really good condition and i was wondering if anyone knew what it might be worth. I don't know whether I should be using it or hanging it up. My email is snyder1973@msn.com thanks

To the right person, it might have value. But those bows were "K-Mart" specials and were really not top of the line even in their day.

I would say make sure the metal cable tear drops are on good, get a new string (DO NOT USE THE NO-STREATCH STRINGS ON IT OR IT WILL BREAK THE LIMBS) and let the kids enjoy.
