just was wondering about peep sight sizes. my son just bought a new bow and wanted the largest peep i think its 1/4 inch and his sight has a fairly small sight ring. when I look through his peep I can see too much of the sight should i be worried about this or is it whatever he feels comfortable with he shoots pretty good with it now.
If it has a round pin guard, then he should be able to line the two circles up great (concentric). He will definately be able to see well near dusk while hunting this way.
If he is just target shooting, then I would get a smaller one.
Personally I like a larger peep. I prefer to center my sight ring in my peep sight, while others try to center each individual pin. Quarter inch is the largest peep I have come across and if your son is comfortable with it I say shoot on. I prefer a 3/16ths peep for my set up as it surrounds my sight ring perfectly for me.
Good shooting
Aaron
