How to change draw length on Mathews xt?
Im in the market for buying the new switchback xt but im only a 25 inch daw length and growing. One dealer tells me it would cost $300 to change draw lenght because I would need a new cam and string. Another dealer tells me it wouls only cost $80 because i only need a new cam.
So do I need only a cam or a cam and a new bowstring if i need to change my draw length? Also what should it cost to change draw length?

Well, that is one of the problems, I had with Mathews and I stopped shooting time because of it. You can twist up the cable or string some to change the draw length slightly. Mainly the cable. If you twist up the cable this will increase the draw length some and if you take some twisting out you can decrease. Unfortunately, there is not much adjustment with all the serving on the strings and cables.
You will only need to change the cam to change draw length.

Just the cam and 25" is as low as it goes for the XT.

You just need to swap out the cam, but I would go back to the dealer that quoted you $300 and inform him you will never return to his shop again. He is basically telling you a string from him costs $220 this is criminal

I got a new cam on here for 35$ dollars. My shop charged me $10 to put it on. As for the new string, that is pretty rediculous.
