Custom Strings and Cables Part II

Well, the past thread has been remarkable for me, but I need to update some information. The past thread will still be available for viewing, but not posting. I think its too confusing for people to find me now that I’ve moved and incorrect contact information is on the first page. A lot of folks want to call, ask questions, try and discern if I know what I’m talking about, if I’m honest, and if I’ll really stand behind my work – and my correct contact info needs to be on page 1. So hopefully this will help with that.

Here is a link to the old thread if you’d like to see some pictures or read up on what’s been happening over the last couple years http://www.archerytalk.com/vb/showthread.php?t=184329

I’m also posting an up to date price list.

PRICE LIST

Material Choices: Bcy 452x or 8125, and Brownell Xcel

(if you order more than 1 set at a time, take $5 off each set)

1 or 2 Color, any bow, any color serving, (or combination of servings): $60

3 Color, any bow, any color serving (or combination of servings): $70

4 Color, any bow, any color of serving (or combination of serving) $85

Loop rope: $1.50/ft. any color

If you have very special circumstances contact Karen Vought of the Physically Challenged Bowhunters of America.

My phone # is 828 680 9862, my email is raz4446@verizon.net, and you can reach me by pm here.

Thank you very much,

john

Dear Bucknasty,

I hope you got the elk poop. It's good eatin'. lol. I thought it was kinda neat! Again, thanks for all your help and sorry we were a pain in the you-know-what on the phone.

Anxiously awaiting the next two sets of strings.

If you guys are procrastinating and wondering if these string sets are good, you are wasting time. Order NOW! My third and fourth sets of Bucknastys are coming, can't wait!

Dave

John has made strings for my bow and I am extremely happy with what he made for me. When they say he is "da man" when it comes to making strings, he really is! You give him the information and he works his magic!

Top quality strings for sure! Thanks again John for making mine and I will continue to support you in the future.

Here are some pictures of the strings he made for my Reflex Buckskin

Brian,

You will have to ask John, that is what makes him great at his craft, I just told him I wanted camo strings because they were going on a camo bow and he picked the colors. I am happy with his choices.

Hey Bucknasty, what colors did you pick for me?

Here's a few shots of the 3 color string/cables BuckNasty made for my Contender, as shown, Johns work is the cats meow!LOL!
The first 2 pix were taken directly after the strings went on, back in May '06, the close ups were shot last week, after thousands of shots were loosed from the bow!

Just got my first set of BuckNasty strings fitted to my ultratec. They look awsome . Thanks for such a great job John.

The guy that fitted them was very impressed so I think you might have some more orders from here in the UK. I know I'll be buying again

stratcat - y'all is the plural of you'in or you. also, y'all and you'ins are interchangeable. i believe another translation is 'you's guys."

ok, up to the shop............

oh, i just ordered a pound of black halo .014 to serve those very difficult sections at the bottom of mathews cables. $314/lb - can you believe that.
its supposed to last even longer. at that price i can't afford colors. i'm going to test it out and see. if its as awesome as some of my buddies say, i'm going to keep serving that bottom section of the mathews cables in any color you want - as long as its black LOL. (of course the other servings can be whatever you want). not having any problems that i know of in that section of the cable - but if it will last a lot longer - it will be worth it for folks. it'll save them money in the long run. john

John in honor of your fortieth birthday, you whippersnapper, I will be ordering a set up for my new black/black Conquest4. Black and silver string with black/silver cable. Also, can you set me up with just a brown black string for my Ovation? I have a brand new cable on it.

Again Happy Birthday!!!

Rick

man that looks sharp watermedic. i looked at a lot of center serving on bows at the show, pretty much all bcy #62 like i use, and i never saw the pattern it makes when i put it on, not once. i gets it tight. my helper was there with me - he lays out the strings for me and i twist and serve them - he doesn't know how to serve (i can't show him everything)
- and he even brought it up to me. how come that doesn't look like yours?

3dzapper, i'll pm you.

lordy lordy i'm 40!

Awesome customer service. Just got off the phone with John and he will take care of you, even if it's your own stupidity that caused a problem! Thanks for taking care of my strings John.
Have a good day.
