Hi Jim - pay back for a Division with only 1 archer for a Nationals would be roughly $167.50 (assuming a $150 pro purse on top of regular adult registration fee + $17.50 from pro dues that goes towards the Natl Indoor purse). Cost to shoot that 1 tournament would be roughly $300 (registration fee + Pro dues).

Thanks, I figured as much. That's essentially what one of our former USAT recurve archers told us. not worth the money to place second out of three behind Brady. Right now, Brady's as sure a bet in an indoor tournament there is

Thanks for the explanation. I didn't realize payout in the pro division only goes to 1 shooter. I was thinking the person who finished 2nd behind Brady would have gotten some $ back, in which case they would be "taking money from" pros who would have otherwise gotten it for a higher finish in that division.

Yeah, basically pays out 1 for every 3, i.e. 1-3 archers pays out 1 place, 4-6 pays out 2 places, etc..
