Interested. What makes the GMX so good? I have seen lots of posts about how the GMX is the best riser Hoyt ever made. I'm new to target recurve, and I have a Hoyt Horizon now, but already feel like I need an upgrade.

Greg, on the GMX riser or "Gold Medalist Extreme"
Angle and position of the limb pockets dictates how aggressive or relaxed the strung bow will be, people like the GMX for the general natural balance it has.
Multiple stabilizer mounts, front & rear, make it versatile for an olympic-style target setup.
Lateral adjustment of the Hoyt dowel limb dovetail is much more durable compared to the small set screws on the Horizon
Hoyt pro series limb bolts have a "ball&socket" style head, which ensures a flat surface to the limbs at nearly all settings
