    Next bow

Here is the next bow on my list. This one is for wingshooter2. He gave me complete control, all he asked me to do was make it fancy. I hope you guys like it but most of all I hope Lou (wingshooter2) likes it. I'm shooting for 68" 45# to 50# 28". The limbs are bamboo cores with zebrawood and padauk veneers. I haven't made the riser yet but will most likely go with a combo of the same wood as the veneers.
    Thx Bill

Just curious if you are cutting and sanding your own tapers? Great looking work. Each one just seems to get better and better if possible.

very nice! If I ever decide to get a traditional bow, I'll certainly consider having you build it!
    Thanks for sharing.

    Pittsburgh Steelers bow update

Well here are the limbs so far. I tried to find the box letters but I just couldn't find them anywhere. I hope you like it so far Jeff? The limbs are yellowheart and ebony while the riser is dymondwood.

    Jenny's bow after glue up

What do you think so far Jenny? The grain is so nice on this one. The wood has these light streeks running thru it. I thought it was just on the outside of the wood, the way the wood was cut of something but no it runs thru the whole piece. I love it, it makes it look neat.

    Wow!

AHH, I found it. Sorry Bill, I am losing my mind lately. I've been working every night now since Nov. 3rd and see no end in sight. Believe it or not, I work for the Federal Gov't. Somehow, I found the branch that works all the time. LOL. It looks awesome Bill, can't wait to see the finished product. That other bow in the post above looks awesome too. I hope I can shoot it as well too!!!

    wingshooter2's bow

WOW!!!! I am soooooo happy with how this one is turning out. The limbs are zebrawood spliced together with paduak. The riser is a combo of zebra and paduak with maple and paduak accents. The overlays are paduak and zebra. What do you think? I'm shooting for 68" 45# 28".

    Arrows

I've been asked a million times about arrows. I cut my shelves to center so you can use a larger variety of arrows. I do recommend using a heavy enough arrow to one, penetrate the quarry and two, not to damage the bows. There is a gentleman here on Archerytalk that makes some of the nicest arrows I've laid eyes on. He can make them to order all you need to do is give him your:
    Draw Length
    Poundage
    Arrow Length
You can find him in the traditional section here on AT, his screen name is (jlnft). Give him a look see you won't regret it.
    Bill
