I meant more along the lines of no confirmation/denied response on our checks yet.

If you are a non-resident I guess you don't even need to think about applying for a 2F doe tag. Dont even waste 41 cents for the stamp. (not that I was gonna apply anyway). I am just amazed by how fast the hunters are applying for one of the most over hunted WMUs there is. Hardly any does left there anyway. What's the big rush to kill the last few?

My check hasn't been cashed yet. If you are applying for a special regs area, 5C or 5D remember to write in red ink, above the area you fill in the WMU, "EARLY DOE SEASON" or something along those lines that way you have your tag come Saturday the 15th.

Hardly any does left in 2F???? Apparently the PUBLIC land and GAME LANDS that I hunt in Clarion, Tionesta and a few other areas in WMU 2F never got the memo

That being said, I didn't apply for a 2F tag this year. Not because of lack of deer, but with the wife being due in December I'm not sure if camp will work in to the plans this fall.

I remember when it was a crap shoot to get just one and you prayed your application was on top of the pile, not any more.

Does anyone remember what it has been like in the past 3-4 years, was there this many left unsold after the first round? Are PA hunters not buying the doe tags like in the past??

    Side note:

If the WMU you want is sold out you can still go DMAP. There are 10's of thousands of these available that aren't counted in the totel antlerless allocation number. http://www.pgc.state.pa.us/pgc/cwp/v...a=465&q=158749
