    uh oh

Looks like you better patent this slide feature. STS supposedly got a patent on the overall aftermarket "supressor" design. Not sure where you will put the slide feature now.

    This is nice.

    The Bow Rattler Front Mount

Thank you Amarchery for the advice . STS and our company have two differant products that look night and day apart We have done everything that we need to do to protect our product to the fullest and this was done a long time ago. There are products out there however that do look like the STS and they are the ones that could run into some problems latter on the legal front.

I personally think the string tamer is by far the best and cleanest out there. We have tried them all and the string tamer by durravane for rear mount is and will be my choice for sure. Of course this is my choice and my opinion.

    FYI,
All the new Hoyts that come with what they call their "stealth shot", which is just something very similair to this Bow Rattler and the STS, have the string served where the contact point is.
Given the slight wear I see on the serving over time, it is probably a good idea for people to serve, or have served, their strings in the this small area to avoid a bit of potential fray down the road.

Great job Bow Rattler, it is a nice looking device.

These string suppressors do more than aid in noise suppression - they decrease the potential of string slap, and make for a more positive and consitent arrow release.

Regardless of the stabilizers attached to the STS, the part being used as a string suppressor is very much like the STS..and does the same thing as the STS.

STS was first with the patent...don't know what effect the stabilizers have concerning possible conflict with STS patient...maybe no conflict...maybe some.

Could be the STS folks don't care.

We archers don't get to define what is a infringement and what is not...and our opinions can be biased depending on whether we engineered the new product or not.

Your point about eliminating string slap is very true. One of the main reasons I bought a string dampener..now I don't have to shoot a short draw to avoid string slap...thus I have gained a lot in performance, shooting a 30" draw, and no string slap.

You could say, a string dampener such yours or whom ever...is a speed/performance add on item along with a sound and string dampening item....if one chooses to lengthen their draw length.

    Good luck...sbl

    yes

I will buy some. Will it be OK with new patents and all?

I do like the slide adjustment on yours. Good luck and talk with you soon.
