Mornings....... aand I'm not a mornin guy. I like the mornings b/c it gives me all day to do what I need to do. If I do mis-hit and need to leave the animal for awhile then its still light when I rtn to track. Fewer predators lurkin too

Evenings in the early season. They are warmer, but the deer are more predictable moving to a food source here in Missouri. Mornings are tough b/c the deer GENERALLY are bedded at sun up or shortly thereafter.
Mornings closer to the rut, then sit while others leave the woods!

I like the conveniences of the pm hunts: light when I walk to the stand, usually warmer, not getting out of my nice warm bed. But I love being in the woods as the daylight arrives, and like someone already said, if I make a hit, I am not working against time to find, gut and haul my deer. Unless it's the rut, I take a break after about 3 hours. If it's cold out, that coffee just calls me home.

I most usually hunt sr-ss, unless I shoot one in between. Both can be excellent.

    Both

I have killed most of my deer in the evenings. But I have seen plenty of deer in the morning as well.

I feel like it is easier to sit longer in the evenings, Because your workin towards something (dark). Unlike, in the mornings when you have to make that decisions on when to climb down and that P&Y could come in right AFTER you lower your bow. I can never make my mind up when to leave, drives me nutts.

Once I am awake... I like my morning hunts better. I find I see more. The waking up so early is the hard part.

I will hunt either but I much rather hunt at evening cause my eyes are sensitive to light and I actually see a little better at night than the average bear. plus it is cooler this time of the year when you have to walk out or drag out.

I'm just the opposite...I prefer getting out early in the morning. But, we've only taken deer (3) in the evening. My 11-year-old and I have only been hunting about a year.

This morning, I woke up early and was in the blind at 6:30. Did not hear or see anything, so I headed home at 10:00. My neighbor/land owner called at 11:00 at said he saw three next to the blind when he was out to do some chores. Grrrrrrr......

    Mornings

I love watching the sun come up and the bush come alive. Also I gives me all day to dress the deer and have it butchered.

Early season I like evenings b/c I have a little more daylight & I can usually get in my stand by 3pm. As the season gets later I usually switch to mornings b/c by the time I get off work it is already dark. Mornings are tough b/c my wife gets up early & I like to see her off to work but I try to get out at least once a week. I don't hunt to much after the rut for the reasons mentioned above. I have always had better luck in the evenings the exception being the rut.
