    New Montana State Whitetail Record!!!

I have been sitting on this for a while waiting for it to dry before I said anything. I am very proud of this deer. It did take eight of us just to get his head in the truck...

That is a truly incredible deer.

    What did it score.

I didnt realize a deer could even get that big.

must be some type of cross-breed elk/deer

    thats amazing

Let me say this if there are any more like him in your part of the country we are all hunting Big Sky Country next year. In this part of the country a deer like that would not be found in our hardwoods. Cal....

I passed up a deer very similar to that this year. I want to give it another year to gain some more mass.

I suppose that would be big for Montana, but it's more of a cull buck in Illinois.

Well ya see... I heard some rustling from my treestand and when I looked up I saw this deer wrestling with Bigfoot on the trail coming right up to my stand. Now I thought there goes my morning so I thought what the hell I would rattle and grunt anyway. Well thats all it took and here he came. He was so angry(what I decided was that Bigfoot dumped in one of his scrapes and got caught) that he never even paid any attention to me standing up and drawing. As soon as I shoot this one two more come crashing through the trees making this guy look like a fork horn. Well next year I will have to be more patient and more selective. I sure won't shoot the first deer I see anyway...

Good thing he lived in Montana cuz he wouldn't be able to walk through the woods without getting hung up on every tree here in VA!!!

A bow kill of course... I used the new Lightning Extreme with nitrous assisted big block cams. It has a 9"bh, 46" ata and a IBO of 485 fps. This is a new company that has yet to be launched. I just happened to get my hands on a prototype. They have a built in laser sight precalibrated from the factory and they shoot Lightning Bolt shafts with a 0.100 spine and soft point ballistic tips. Fletchings are a aircraft aluminum without memory. Total arrow weight is around 289 and dw is 47#. This setup is good for 455fps.

See, I was thinking a nice chandelier mount. All I have to do is cut the horns off and run some wire and hang it right...
