Montgomery Co Archery Club--OFFICIAL THREAD--2008 Flyer Download

At last, the wait is over!! Please mark your calendars and commit to shooting at Montgomery County Archery Club in 2008. Last year was an amazing year, and this year is shaping up to be even better. We had 100 shooters in attendance at our last shoot to compete for awesome prizes and to watch our top shooters shoot for the buckles.

On February 23, we are hosting a BBQ membership drive. If you show up and buy a membership, you will also get a BBQ plate and the shooting fees are waived for February’s shoot. This applies towards individual & family memberships. Where else can you get a deal for a round of 3D like this??

Also, with the membership, each time you show up to shoot, you will receive a ticket that will be placed in a drawing to be held at our final shoot in August. You have the chance to get at least 7 tickets for the drawing. Just ask anyone that was there and they will tell you we gave some awesome prizes. Everything from a new bow to stands to pop up blinds to targets. This year will be NO different!!

We will be hosting our annual Night Shoot on June 23. This is a shoot you definitely want to make! We also so pretty cool novelty shoots and look out for the potential of the Mega Buck League 3D style!!!

So come on out and see why MCAC is quickly becoming one of the premier places to shoot in the Southeast Texas Region.

looks good...what needs to be done 2/2? If I get a kitchen pass, do I need to bring anything? Like a saw, or just a paintball gun and a chair to make sure pop-tart stays busy?

We definitely need about 5 or 6 new shooting lanes since Brent got a little overzealous with the dozer! We will be cleaning out the storage container, which you will be needing some wasp spray for that. And we will be putting together our 2 brand new 10x20 canopies.

So all who can help out, we would love to have you.

I got an idea, maybe this year, the prez won't have to start a new thread when he want's to say something.....

Zack, I believe we will also be giving tickets out to people when they help setup and takedown, so it won't limit you to 7, you can gain quite a few more by just helping out...

This is the time for those of you that want to be active in an archery club to get involved...Be a part of it and MCAC will continue to grow...

    See ya'll February 2....Work day

Whoooo Doggie, I think I had a few more x's than her but I'm still very proud. Pretty soon me and my bow won't even be allowed in the house.......The Gander guys did ok but we all could have done alot better, it sucks to shoot the first tournament out of the box on you home turf, still a little rusty....You gonna come out to MCAC and play with us this year????

I will try, but the weekends you all are hosting tournaments I have my daughter. I will make the ASA and the night shoot, but not sure on how many others I will make. Just waiting on Glenn to get a league going on Monday nights.

We have gotten a good response about the work day feb 2. Anyone that would like to help is encouraged to come out. We will be making a few new lanes and clearing a few trails so Weedeaters, machetes, etc. are welcome. Hope to see ya'll there...

I can help for a couple hours, then I gotta go to a time share sales pitch....I can't believe I agreed to do that. But a free trip to Vegas/60$ gas card/free hotel nights...I hope it is worth it!

Alright, just a reminder that we are having the official-2008 season workday this saturday feb 2 @ 9:00 am. With enough help we should be able to finish pretty quick and then maybe even fling a couple of arrows????

Rumor has it that Zach is so allergic to all bee/wasp/mosquito/ladybug stings, that you will be heading up (as well as being the only member) the storage shed wasp eradication team. Good luck and you may want to wear more than a speedo

If you have never bit stung by a ladybug, don't go looking for one
