Acorn Rage

Anyone had success with Acorn Rage? I'm wanting to try the new acorn rage infused. Our city park has dozens of huge oaks which drop acorns the size of golf balls! Guess I should go pick up a couple buckets each fall.

I've used the acorn rage powder stuff. The deer seem to like it because it's usually gone the next day. It really has a strong odor. I can smell it from my treestand so I would think nearby deer can smell it as well. Never had any luck while hunting over it, but have some trail cam pics of deer nose deep in powder. I was watching the wild game innovations show yesterday and saw the new infused lick thing. I am going to try it out this year. As far as the show itself, I thought it was one of the worst ones I've seen.

I put a bag of it out last year and it was all gone by the next morning. Will be using it again this year.

I've had good luck with it...put it front of my cams. The deer always hammer it. I've had the same success with buck grub

yea it works but nothing like how they portray on their hunts where they pour it out into the field and the deer just so happen to know where its at and go right to it. They been placing it there prior so the deer became accustomed to the spot really. If you place it in an area that a deer will pass thru, it will stop and try it. You have nothing to lose by trying it, either it will work for you or won't.

used it in my feeder last fall. It made a heck of a mess and never saw a deer eat from it. This was in a place where the oak trees are in small protoins of and near by but not in the direct vicinity. I would have expected some attention to it. I had to clean my feeder out after I ran one bag mixed with corn through.

Acorns

Acorn rage sounds like a great idea, put out a bag, next day, it's gone. But what about the turkeys, squirrels, chipmunks, etc... that are also hitting it? Same goes with a pile of corn. Deer aren't the only ones hitting it, turkey, squirrels, raccoons, posswums, etc...
May be good to get pictures over, but as a hunting means, especially if the REAL oaks are dropping, they may ignore yours. Hunt funnels, pinch points, small food sources and doe bedding areas and you'll score more.

hunting mostly hardwood ridges, I don't think this would do much. Plus I can't use bait.....no problem, just hunt a stand of white oaks.

In other types of environments it might work well.

Last year I put out a pile of corn and a pile of Acorn Rage at one of my tree stands. Every deer that came in went to the corn first.

I had considered buying a bag of Acorn Rage for the opening couple of weeks, but it's expensive and the results are mixed.

I just put a bag of Evolved's Rut N Apples out Thursday so I will see how that goes as their newer attractant. Where I hunt is in a thornapple section and they are dropping their lil apples now, so will check the cams at week's end.
