    Prayers for Aya LaBrie

Aya LaBrie (aka as XXXBowHo on AT) had an ovary burst a few days ago and went into emergency surgery. For those that don’t know this was a serious and life-threatening illness that is much like appendicitis where poison is spread throughout the abdomen and must be cleaned out thoroughly. She will be going through some tough times both physically and mentally and still hopes to represent the USA at the Olympics in Greece.

Your prayers are appreciated but helping her by giving her something to do while recovering would be great.

A couple of her major sources for income are her archery calendars and hand made cam belts. Anyone that is interested in ordering a belt or a calendar please send an email to:
    cambelts@yahoo.com

Cards etc. can be sent to:

    Aya LaBrie
    20 Oakland St. #7
    Aurora, CO 80012

    Thank you,

    Wow, XXX.

God speed your recovery! Health is the most important thing, but it would be great to see you representing the good ol Red White and Blue across the pond.

    Best wishes from Virginia!

    I came home today....

Many thanks for your prayers. I was in Louisville when my body started breaking down...sore arms and legs...I thought I just slept wrong... then on Sunday bad cramping. I cried through my last arrow which I ended up throwing towards the target just to finish. I ended up in the ER in Tennessee. They misdiagnosed me and sent me home with painkillers. After a very frightful flight I got back to Denver. I was barely conscious when they carried me off the plane. From there I don't remember much just that God was with me... and my family. I have a new perspective, one I didn't want but am grateful for. I thank the archery community. I am lucky to have such a wonderful family of friends...

glad to see everything worked out for ya.

ive spent far too much time in hospitals as a visitor and as a 'guest' for my liking.

when you experience a life altering event, your perspectives on things change along with your priorities.

hopefully you wont suffer any ill effects and your down time wont interfere with your goals for the games. maybe now, you can put your 120% into archery and not worry. good luck and i'll be keepin an eye on the games this year.

Hope you feel better soon Aya,

i was the one that pulled your arrows for you a coupla years ago at indoor nat's in Wisconsin. after seeing you shoot through that, you truly are a fighter and i know youll make it through this!!

just take Lance Armstrong as your inspiration, and anything is possible to overcome.

I'm glad you are getting better, good luck on the long road that will be ahead of you.
