    Fred Bear Draw Length Question...Help

A friend of mine just bought a Fred Bear Element bow. When it arrived it was a 29 inch draw length model instead of the 28 that he ordered. What has to be done to change the draw length to 28??? Module?? Will it adjust without ordering a different module?? Thanks guys

You will need another module. You do not need a bow press to install it.

You can change the bow's DL by +/- 1/2" by using the post adjustment, but you will need a bow press, and adjusting the DL on the post will increase the bow's draw weight by a few pounds if you add length, or decrease the weight if you decrease length.

Try contacting Bear customer service. I would be surprised if they don't simply send you the right module at no charge, or at the very least exchange for the one you have.

If you can't get a module from them or anyone else locally, let me know by PM and I'll arrange to send you some.

Its been a pain in the *****... Trying to get one...Dicks said we will order one for ya havent heard anything yet 2wks ago..Called bear, they say you have to get one from the dealer (Buy)..Almost ready to return the dam thing.
I thought bear would have said "no problem whats your address". As a first
time bow buyer I am not to thrilled. There is so much to learn I dont need the company I bought from making it any more difficult. Sorry for the rant
just wanted to get out and practice but cant even do that

    Re Module

All you have to do is go to ebay and type in Fred Bear Module and you will see them listed for about $15.
Here's a link and you'll see the chart that show which # module corresponds with which draw length.

As mentioned earlier you can also adjust the draw length plus or minus 1/2 with a bow press by changing the position of the draw stop post.
