    Xtreme Custom Stabilizer Review thread

This is official review thread for the Xtreme Custom stabilizers, so once you get it in the mail and get some time with it, post what you think here.

I recieved my test stab today and noted upon taking it out of the box how well the fit and finish looked. It was fairly heavy compared to what I use now (8.5" 11oz B-Stinger) but after a few shots I was used to the extra weight. I held more steady with this stabilizer than I have with any I've tried before, including a 24" BlackMaxx due to the weight and the ultralight carbon rod. The rod, despite being an inch and a quarter longer than the B-Stinger rod, was noticeably lighter. I don't have a grain scale so I couldn't get an exact measurement on this, but I could definately tell a difference between the two. The Xtreme rod is a smaller diameter than the B-Stinger, which attributes to this fact I'm sure.

I measured the stabilizer with the full weight set, one weight removed, and two weighs removed. The results were as follows:

    Full set-12" on the dot
    1 removed- 11 3/8"
    2 removed- 10 7/8"
    Rod alone- 9 3/8"

This product is very effective at helping you be more steady while aiming. It comes with one BowJax attached right behind the weight. It does just as well as my B-Stinger with BowJax at eliminating vibration/noise. That being said, I took the BowJax off my own stab and put it on the test stab and it reduced vibration even more.

The fit and finish of this stabilizer is top notch for sure. It is beautifully assembled and I couldn't find a single thing wrong with the finish. The tolerances were very tight, and once screwed in the weight kit won't go anywhere or make any unwanted noise.

Possibly the best thing about this stabilizer is the fact that you get the full weight set when you buy it. That way, if you decide you don't want as much weight on the end, all you have to do is unscrew the end and take a weight off and it will feel like a completely different stabilizer.

The only thing I would add/change about this stabilizer is I would add a second BowJax. Other than that, I believe it could easily be one of the best stabilizers on the market as is.

I just want to give a big thanks to Mark (APAnTN) for creating this product and giving those of us here at AT the chance to test it for him.

    Jonathan,
Thank you for taking the time and effort to test and review my stabilizer. I feel that once people give it a try they will be like you. As for the bowjax that is something we can definately do. I would also like to thank you for starting this review thread.

The customizable end weight is a nice feature. Do the rods come in different lengths? How much do they cost?

Little heavy for me at first so simply pulled off one of the weights and I was in business, this is only the first day, I've put over 100 shots through my bow with it on and love it, no two ways about it. I've shot a lot of other stabilizers on my set up, nothing really compares, a stabilizer short enough to hunt with that puts the weight out where you want it. Most hunting stabilizers cary same diameter and weight throughout, all the way from the bow to the front stab, not this one and did I mention the adjustability?? This is a great product that that looks great and great performance to boot, If you can get a chance to shoot one, don't pass it up, you won't be dissappointed

    thanks for the review

Those who have shot the B-Stinger, and now this. What are your thoughts? I hate (and I mean HATE) the looks of B-Stingers, but you can't argue with function. This stab is cheaper, and looks better, and comes with all of the additional weights, but how does it hold?

Well I got one of the stablizers Friday and out of the box knew it was quality work..Thing looks great and looks even better on a bow..Yesterday I set it up on several different bows and shot it and by far one of the if not the best stabilizers I have ever shot..I shot it on 09 Xforce,Mathews Swithback,Hoyt AM32,Bowetech Guardian, and a DXT just to see how it felt on all different type bows and everyone the pin just glued to the target..I think these are going to be a big hit for sure, and I know I will have one for myself and actually had a hunting buddy here and tryed it on his Xforce TS and now he wants one..Great stabilizer and a great price to boot..I didnt get to take any pics cause I was in a hurry to try it but it looks great on any bow combination..

After 4 days of shooting this stabilizer, I can truely say, The nicest stabilizer I've ever shot. Shootin pop can size groups at 50 &60 yards, this thing holds rock solid, Love the adjustability. I couldn't ask for anything more in a stabilizer. Functionality and Good looks as well. Bow levels out real nice and holds steady, so simple to adjust the weight to what works for ya. ive been making them 12" on the money. As far as camo i can get just about anything you want. And the all black is an option as well.
