    Homemade Deer Block

Does anybody have any experience with making a homemade deer block? If so what are the ingredients and method for making. We always have empty 3# plastic coffee containers at work that seem like they'd be perfect for making one. Thanks.

Good idea! I've never done it, but I bet you could mix corn, peanutbutter, and mollases for a block. I hope someone has some good ideas, and I'd like to give it a try too!

No need to make it into a block, just dig a hole and pour your ingredients in it,then cover with some dirt. They will find it and keep coming back to it. Rock salt and Ice melt products work nicely. Nowadays we are not allowed to use them in NY, so my hunting buddies and I , do not make them any more.
