-=-=- "absolute customer satisfaction" -=-=-

a simple term I coined back in 1989 when I was the young and idealistic, newly hired Manager of customer tech support/help desk. It has served me well for all these years.

Since we are a Church based Youth and Developmental Archery Program, I'm not running a business and our goal is NOT to make a profit, in fact we cannot legally make a profit. But the fact remains that if I needed to charge my participants' (or their parents), many would not be able to attend due to financial hardships. I don't want to get into deciding who should and should not pay what, so I decided the program would be free for all, and I'd find a way to make it all work out, somehow.

Please buy our strings... Your string orders help support a Church based Youth and Developmental Archery Program. If I need to resort to charging my participants' (or their parents), many would not be able to attend due to financial hardships.

Just wanted to let folks know I'll be going out of town for the weekend to assist w/ coaching about 1,500 youths at Roaring River State Park, Missouri.

So if you are trying to get hold of me, wait till Monday. I'm unsure of internet access possibilities out there.

A special note

First I would like to say thanks to our previous customers.

Your patronage has allowed me to purchase 2 new traditional bows this year for our youth archery program at my church. between your sales and our most excellent local pro shop we scored some KAP "Surprise" risers and "Pro Style" limbs in poundages suitable for my youngsters.

Also with the funds from folks using PayPal, I purchased 2 used bows. A nice Internature Bullseye and a Greatree Mohegan as well as a spare set of 15# bullseye limbs from various members of this forum.

Now, I need to address something.

As I stated before we are a Church based Youth and Developmental Archery Program. I'm not running a business and our goal is NOT to make a profit. It is to give mainly youth, but really anybody that wants to, the opportunity to come experience archery without regard to age, religious preference, race, gender or financial means. Everybody shoots no one is turned away because they cannot pay.

Part of my "business model" is that I will not accept payment before you get your strings and are delighted with them.

The suggested Donation for your string is $10.00
If you just can’t afford the $10.00 Donation, send whatever you can afford.
If you can't pay for the string, well then just tell me that, it's OK. ]I'll still make your string for you.
I understand that folks have financial obligations such as rent, food, fuel etc. and not much left for the extra's. Since we are a "faith based organization" I honestly don't mind the occasional free string being sent out.

I only invest a few dollars in materials an about an hour of my time and (3) First Class postage stamps. All I ask is that you PLEASE, please, please, tell me so up front!!! It will not make any difference in the materials used, or the care put into making the string. It's just that I hate to be budgeting for (counting on) payments that will never show up. I don't think that is too much to ask for. Well that, and when it comes time for another new string, you consider us again.

As always, PayPal donations can be sent to :
goodshepherdyoutharchery@gmail.com

Cash, Check, Money Order, etc. to:
Good Shepherd U.M.C.
Youth Archery Program

Not that I'm trying to talk you out of one of my endless loop strings, but a Flemish string is noticeably quieter (to my ears), and some say a bit slower (though I've never taken the time to prove or disprove it w/ a Crono.) And lets face it, a Flemish string just looks more traditional and has a certain "feel", a certain softness in the hand, and in the shot, that a endless loop does not have. I like them very much and I have made them and shoot them on some of my bows. But I really prefer not to make them for sale, as I don’t think my work is nearly a nice looking as others can do. To that end, I can highly recommend Chad (member name here is "LBR") for Flemish strings. In my opinion he is a true master at making them.

temporary work stoppage

Due to current policy that limits the ability to carry a maximum balance of 75 days
I will be taking some long overdue leave from 12JUNE to 07JUL 2009,
therefore I need to temporarily stop accepting orders effective TODYAY,
this will allow me to to clear out my existing back-log so I can leave with a
clear conscience that I'm not leaving anybody hanging unnecessarily.

If you want to get on the post-leave wait list feel free to drop me a PM or E-Mail, but don't expect anything until mid-July.
