    target scope and bowhunting

i was wondering if any body uses a target scope like a sur-loc for hunting?

it seems to me that they are almost like a slidder sight but with the scale on the side instead of the back. i really kinda like the looks of them and if icould get a dual purpose almost that would be awesome. So how about it , advantages/disadvantages as well?

They wont adjust nearly as quickly as a slider but otherwise they're great. If you have a fast bow you could just leave it set at 30 yards and compenscate, or if it were a long shot then just take the time to adjust. The only problems would be the clicks makeing noise and the time it would take to adjust.

    sureloc supreme
CR Apex w/ 0 power lens
crosshair aperture sighted in to 40
2 more horizontal bars, one set for 30, one for 50

so... I have 3 cross hairs, 30/40/50 in the lens.
    Sight doesn't get adjusted.

i took mine out this year....sold my hunting bow one week before the end of turkey season here and had no choice...my hunting sight hadn't came it yet so i took out the scope...a bird came in at 65-70 yards i misjudged the yardage for 60 but it made that bird look huge!! but i was worried about the broadhead hitting the bottom of the scope..they ain't cheap to replace...

Ever shot one in the rain or fog? also not really as effective in low light conditions. I'll stick with fiber pins all day long on my hunting rig..

I use a 4 pin sight from extreme archery that accepts a scope lens. Mine curenntly has a 4 power. I love it except high humidity and late afternoon it gets a bad glare.
