High Country Max-Xtreme - Good bow?

A buddy of mine has a chance to buy a High Country Max-Xtreme for $150
that is in great shape with new strings on it. Are these good bows ? I haven't
ever shot one so I don't know what to tell him when he asked if they are
any good. The link below describes the bow ...

Any advise would be great ... Thanks

I'm not familiar with this particular model but High Country does build good bows. They are presently having a few problems which are affecting customer service. Hopefully they will get it sorted out. When was this bow produced? Looks like a good bow although of older design.

the Max extreme is a shorter ATA version of the max force...i shot the MAx force for a few years, my nighbor is still shooting it....if you are looking to upgrade from an older bow it will be fine, they aren't as quiet and vibe free as newer bows but still a nice bow...

as with any used bow, it is used...no warranty and take you own risks on limbs holding up...
