dogs and turkeys can hear higher frequencies than we can. deer can see some uV. Can they see infrared in the wavelength on our cameras flashes? Has anyone seen any research about this one way or the other? Thoughts?
your hearing is not as good as a deer.i have no scientific research to back it up, but it seems many deer that are on my trail cam with nite vision are looking right at it. seems like they can sense something. my cam is silent too.
:thumbs_upyour hearing is not as good as a deer.
High frequency elecrt magnetic wave we cannot hear ...they can.
Ever walked into your house and you didn't hear anything but felt like there was a Tv turned on somewhere?
Thats what they hear/feel but at a much higher level than us.
Deer are not pit vipers....they do not see in heat signature/ infrared. they see UV level different than us though.
haha it seems that way.:thumbs_up
I believe they hear so well they can hear the frequency of our thoughts!

ive read similar articles as this, with the results being they dont hear much more outside of our frequency range (a little bit but not much), just with the rotateable ear socket, they can pinpoint sounds very very well.however, according to charlie alsheimer on D & DH.... They don't hear much better than a human
Ya, half to back you up on that one. Mine does it to (red glow), I've walked in front of it and seen it, and the deer do look at it a lot.all infared cameras glow red when they take a picture, they might see that out of the "corner" (280deg. vision) of their eye, and turn to investigate.
Just for curiousity, turn them around and see if there is a glow or light that you can see.I've watched deer with a night vision binoculars, and when it's too dark and you hit the infared so you can see they DO look at you, so I'm saying that they can see it.
