I am wondering just what string materials are okay to use on an Oneida Bow that can use a fastflight type string? I know that some Oneidas could only use a B-50 Dacron material and some can use FastFlight and newer string materials.
Over the years I have contact C.P. Oneida and some materials they don't recommend on their bows. I have heard that TS1 is one that is not recommended and 450 and 452x is okay to use. I am not sure about the 8125, Dyna 97 or the TS Plus materials. I have also heard that some a little louder on release than others. I am currently using the 452X which works well but as technology improves so do some materials.
So if you have any information and have used these materials on your Oneida I am interested in learning more about which ones are good to use and why and which ones are not and why. Especially for a lot of shooting of a long periods up to a year.
Is it because some have no creep / give and with the way an Oneida performs adds to cable & limb failures, plus added noise and vibration?
Seems ever now and then a new string material comes out. Just trying to stay on top of what is good to use and what is not.
Thanks,
LFM
