What is way to figure out draw length? He is 6'4" with a wingspan of 75"

Wingspan calculation is wingspand/ 2.5 so 75/2.5 is 30". This is only a starting point though but it should be close.

As he said this is only a starting point. The best way is to draw back a bow and have someone measure your DL. :wink:

That calculation put me at a 28-1/4" dl. I shoot a 29"dl with a 1/2" loop very comfortably. It depends mostly on your anchor point, bow ATA, and release. I press my knuckle against my earlobe and shoot a scott sabertooth. That allows the string to gently touch the tip of my nose. My advise would be to help your friend find a comfortable anchor point and release before trying out some bows. Pro shops won't mind measuring you up at all.

i'm 6 foot with 75'' wing span and shoot 30'' draw . be happy to sell him my 2009 barnsdale that is 30-32 inch draw .
