Yes, it is all adjustable without the bow press. All you need is a set of Allen keys.

It is a much better deal compared to other youth/women bows out there.

Some side notes:

The accessories are junk, though.

The stretch resistant string is specially made, so the peep sight won't rotate on you.

In case you need a string-tamer/string-stop, you can get a cable guard mounted one from Darton, it works out much better than the low-position ones on the Bowtech Soldier, or Sidekick Extreme.

Selling different youth bows, I have seen a few like this. What they don't tell you is the weight to draw length is on a slide scale. In other words the max weight of 50lbs can only be had at the max draw length. If you are drawing only 24" you might only get 30lbs. Look on the back of the box, if it is the one I am thinking about, it will have the max weight printed for each dl. Works similar to the Genesis bow except draw specific. Darton has the draw specific plus the universal and two different pegs to get the max weight for each draw length.

I believe 24" drawlength actually gives 44lb, which is good enough for deer hunting.

Yes the bow is adjustable with just an allen wrench and you dont have to press the bow. Poundage is 20-50 but will depend on draw length which runs from 15-27.

I bought one for my wife. Pink camo. In short this bow is awesome. Short 27.5 ATA, accurate and quiet. My wife is shooting 38lbs at 23in. with Beeman ICS Hunter Jr. arrows cut to 23in with 100gr heads. I hooked her up with a string stopper also. She has only been shooting for 6 weeks and already is stacking them in there at 30yds.

Bear Apprentice in Target Trim

Here is my 10 year old's Bear Apprentice in pink camo. The neighbor love it so much, they bought the identical bow set up down to the fletching and wrap for their daughter as well.

The picture shows the pink camo Bear Apprentice in target trim.

cable guard (center) mounted string stop with pink buffer.

peep with pink peep tube.

pink kickstand.

lightweight carbon target sight.

Limbsaver super quad dampener.

lightweight carbon stabilizer with quick detach.

lightweight fall-away rest.

pink and silver bow sling.

riser with grip removed for target shooting.

custom cordura pink target quiver with white waist belt.

lightweight carbon target arrows with zebra vanes.

After dial in the sight, she shot three X's (not X-rings, the arrows hit the crosses of X's) on her Vegas faces at 20 yards with this set up, all the rest of arrows are in the yellow.

I bought one for my wife last weekend. Neither one of us had shot a bow before. For a beginner, it is a great package. Within a couple hours, we were both hitting a 4" shoot-n-c paste on target I put on a sack of deer corn we used as a target. Bow weight started at 20# and we will move it up in increments as she gets better. The only thing I need now would be some nicer grips. The bear factory doesn't have any but said that any custom grip that fits their old young Gun model would fit the apprentice. I could make some nice wood side panels, but would rather just spend the $40 than spend an entire weekend fabricating and finishing some wood ones myself. Has anyone with an apprentice or young gun bought aftermarket grips???
