I am getting my buck mounted on a wall pedestal form. What I am wondering is what you guys had put on the back of it? Felt? If so what color? I am trying to decide! If you could post pictures that would be awesome! Thanks

I have an Impala, Red Hartabeest and Blesbok done in wall pedestals and they all have felt backing, but the Blue Wildebeest I have in a wall pedestal has the hide for the backing and it is absoultely beautiful.

You might be looking at the 9800 mckenzie wall pedestal. It is really nice you can mount it to the wall and also some have been mounted to a nice piece of drift wood. I believe mine is a dark brown felt with bronze tacks holding it on. I will post pics later.
here is a pic, but not of the backing.

Here are a couple pics of my '07 buck, I love the wall pedistal look. As far as the felt color you really are not going to see it much to be honest, depending on where you put it!! '94

Here is the wall pedestal mounted on some driftwood.

Here is the backing on my mount. It is tacked suede.

My taxidermist got felt with an Indian type design. Then around the edges he's had some old rope he outlined it with.
