just started shooting about two weeks ago. started at about 15 yards or so and can consistently hit the bag every time but is always low and left. not sure if its my follow through or if my draw length is too short not allowing my draw arm to get back all the way.

my draw hand anchor point is at the middle of my cheek and not my cheek bone. what could i be doing wrong.

dont try to watch the arrow...that can lead to peeking and bad shots...you want to just keep staring at the bulls eye or target until the arrow hits...just keep burning a hole in the target with your eyes and that will help alot...trying to watch the arrow fly can result in some bad habbits and bad shots...making you really frustrated...

i get a few dead center then a few a little left and then some almost off the bag left. i dont believe its the pins because i get some really good shots and some bad. gave it to my uncle and he's shooting well with it.
i see...just keep working at it...maybe post some pics and others can give some advice as far as form goes...just enjoy the process of starting to shoot and dont get discouraged...you will have time for that once you get better...

sounds like it might be a form issue. tough to diagnose over the internet. if you just started shooting, i'd find a quality shop with a range and see if you can take a lesson or two. they should be able to put you on the path to good form, making sure the bow fits you well and is tuned well. you'll be amazed at the results.

i think im also having trouble with my grip, my bow hand has always been cupped when i shoot and i believe it should be more bowed.

the bow should sit in the meaty part of your palm with no tension in your fingers. Is this correct?

my left arm is also getting tired after 30 shots or so. i can pull the bow back easily but i think its more of the draw length since my bow hand doesnt seem to extend all the way.

Heres my 2c worth...

Only been shooting two weeks, so your form is still developing. A little change in the grip, your stance, your anchor, or anything for that matter can give drastic results. Consistancy is vital in regards to form. Same grip, same everything.

If you are anchoring in the middle of your cheek, then IMO you have a floating anchor position. Very hard to find the exact spot repetitively.

Dont over do it when practising. Shooting until your arms are sore is probably not the best thing to be doing. When I practise, I shoot 18 arrows (3 groups of 6) then stop. Have a good break of 30mins at least, then go again.

If you can get some pics of you at anchor, that would help us alot. Side on shots (bow side) would be the best. Also get full body pics, as since you are only starting out. The AT gurus could help get rid of any nasty habits you may be developing. As a wise man once said "You can learn to shoot bad quicker then you can to shoot good".
