It may be that he became powerful enough to make sure that his name was pronounced right.

I've have always liked him myself. He is a dedicated bowhunter, often taking his bow on rifle hunts.

Though I really don't pay that much attention to the hunting celebs.

If he's taking his bow, wouldn't it be a bowhunt?

Don't think power would have anything to do with it.... I've never seen an "O" in a similar instance pronounced as an "E". I believe a person would want his name pronounced correctly, no matter their public status. I know I would.

I had a rich customer who's last name was spelled Jordan and I'll never forget the first time I did some paperwork for him and said his name as "Jordan", he quickly let me know that his name was to be pronounced "Jerdan". Almost like it offended him to be called Jordan. Kind of amusing really. So it pretty much seems that the "better off" Jordans are actually Jerdans.

Well, I can definitely tell you that was the case with my guy. He just made too much of a point out of it. I really don't see how you can possibly get "Jerdan" (pronunciation) out of "Jordan" (spelling). Of course, I've wondered for YEARS how you get "Farve" (pronunciation) out of "Favre" (spelling).

lol...

I remember 10 or so years ago, watching some of the original Monster Buck VHS tapes, hearing him say "And I'm Bill Jurdan", and talking to my buddy about how he pronounces his name funny. If i remember right, the announcer would say Jordan, other guys on the show would too... but i dont watch his show anymore really, so maybe he has to do multiple takes because guys call him Jordan instead of Juurdan or Jerdan...

Makes him sound like a true southerner. Too many snowbird yankees say "Jordan".
