I was at a toss up between a Bowtech Assassin and an Elite pulse but after the reviews and great history I have had with Elite I have decided on a pulse UNLESS some amazing priced bow comes my way. I am a shorter draw archer and I WANT the speed and the speed IS important to me as I hunt with 1 pin so the flatter the better. I have shot Elite bows and I am quite comfortable with them. I have seen the arrow speed calculators but I know some people who work on their own bows actually get more out of them than what is posted. I will be shooting 65-70# 27.5 draw with a 360g arrow, D-loop and peep. I would like to hear some of the speeds some of you Elite owners are getting.

I have a pulse coming in this week if the deal goes throught I will crono it and let post what I find Mine will be 60#limb and 30" draw.
I expect it to be around 300 with a 375grn arrow.

i was at 290 at 64# with a 390 acc pro hunter 27.5 inches long with a 100 gr tip and a nockturnal. sorry i dont know the total arrow weight
I shoot a Judge (slightly faster than the Pulse per IBO rating). I chrono'd my hunting arrows for 2012 a couple weeks ago:

Walk the rough numbers backwards including a 5 fps drop in IBO and you should be able to approximate. I've run arrows through the Judge a lot faster, but I prefer heavier arrows for hunting.
