I am having one of my mounts re-done in a few weeks due to some horrible taxidermy work i had done about ten years ago. I am looking at doing a semi upright wall pedestal mount. I would appreciate if anyone could share some wall pedestal pictures and form used and opinions on it. Thanks

Here's one of mine on a Coombs form in the center.

Another one of mine on a Coombs.

And one on a Matt Thompson

Don't even hesitat.. I got mine done with the 9800 form due to his size. I haven't seem completed yet but went and saw it half done. Look great! I think it adds a lot to the mount.

Like I said he I not complete but looks great so far I think.

what does it look like now? will be nice to see before and after.

I had my 200" done in a wall pedastil absolutly hated it.that form doesnt accent the neck at all on a large body deer. After about a year and a half i got another cape and jad it redone.sorry dont have any pics of the pedastil to show.i guess u either like them or hate them.

I think your taxidermist has allot to do with how the neck is accented, short hair doesn't hurt either..

And if you really want the neck to be the focus point..

Goatboy, do you remember which model number Coombs was used on the buck in the middle picture. That is one of the best mounts i have ever seen. Coombs makes alot of models and i like the way the head is turned on that buck.

I don't have that number. I do know my taxidermist hates the forms, says he has a heck of a time getting the cape to fit right. I just tell him to keep on doing what he's doing lol!
