You will find too many on here and on the net. that take themselves way too serious all the time and just say crap to stir the pot or be difficult .There is not a single person in the USA that watches cable or satellite TV that has not even at least heard of the Walking Dead as its commercials are on and it is discussed on every network on these too forms of media .As well as newspaper TV schedules .

Hell we went to a 4th of July concert in the park last nite and sat first row and the lead singer of Blue Oyster Cult had on a walking dead Tee shirt.

I've had 20+ parents come in looking for crossbows for their kids because they saw it on The Walking Dead. They always have a warped view of how hard they are to cock and how dangerous they can be

Then you may want to get out more or open your viewing and learning horizons a bit .You may be in a rut here .Not saying you have to watch it but there is far more to life than just doing and watching the same old thing .BTW I have seen the walking dead on AMC commercial on the NFL network a few times as I do watch football from time to time as well in the fall and winter .You never look at whats on TV in the paper? Or read national publications ? The show is always all over them as well when its airing .Heck they have even had articals in a few hunting rags about the xbows used in the show .

Crossbow's to be used to kill zombies are people who have felony convictions and can't buy AR-15s. We all know that the AR is the weapon of choice for zombies and civil unrest.

Good point the character that uses it in the show looks like he was some kind of aryan brotherhood, outlaw biker, meth using, ex-con, criminal POS, prior to

the zombie apocalypse. I wonder what percent of crossbow hunters use one because they can't legally posses firearms.

I read the Mpls Star Tribune every day, I read books and I will tune into Comedy Central from time to time. To be honest if there was a zombie show or a promo for a zombie show I would change the channel. Call me crazy but most TV cable included just plain sucks.

A friend of mine recently bought a crossbow, thanks mostly to The Walking Dead. He told me he wanted to get into archery, and then said he wanted a crossbow. After correcting the record, I tried to talk him into getting a bow, but he really wanted a crossbow. So I helped him find a good one. I've only seen The Walking Dead a few times, but I've never actually seen Daryl cock his crossbow.

In the zombie apocalypse, I would want a gun first, recurve second, a compound third, and a crossbow dead last.

I agree. In fact, most of what's on all TV is crap. We just have an HD antenna and Apple TV with Netflix & Hulu. We order new shows ala carte from iTunes. Walking Dead is at the top of our viewin list, but hey, that doesn't mean anyone else has to like it. We jug celebrated 237 years of people being able to choose for themselves. Watch whatever the crap you like. Just don't blame the TV broadcasters for showing the crap people watch. It ain't their fault we want crap.

A crossbow is the worst choice for zombie attack, they take forever to load, they are too heavy to carry around, they are no more accurate than vertical bows. yada yada. ...said tounge in cheek for rodney;)

I've never seen the show. Are they the fast, "28 Days Later", zombies or classic, shuffle like they work at wal-mart, zombies? Cuz that matters.

They're sorta fast. I thought World War Z would be bad because of how fast and un-realistic the zombie CGI looked in the previews, it was actually a great zombie movie. My favorite.



And if you like comedy ones the movie Zombieland was hilarious.
