Well I finally managed to get my black E32 all set up. First off, I prefer a shorter bow. My last 2 bows were a 2012 Answer and a 2013 Hunter. I generally stay in that 30"-34" range for hunting. I have owned an E35, loved it, but not as much as the E32, which might shock some people. Lets attempt to keep this clean, this is just my simple review based on bows I have personally shot several times.

My set up:

2014 Energy 32 - 29.5" 71lbs
HHA Optimizer Ultra DS-5519
QAD HDX
Dead Center Archery Dead Level Hunter
TightSpot Quiver
Black Eagle Zombie Slayer
Slick Trick (Nukes for turkey, Vipers for deer)
Rusher Custom Bow Strings - Electric Blue

Ok, first off, nothing beats the finish/looks of an Elite bow IMO. The looks of the new Energy bows are beautiful. One thing with my setup that I will need to get use to is the weight...this thing is a tank with everything I have on it, but it holds like a dream and that DCAP system really balances the box nicely at full draw. Holds on the pin very very nice for me. The draw cycle falls somewhere between my Answer and Hunter. It is smoother than the Hunter was, but maybe a touch more aggressive than the Answer. To me, the draw is perfect. It doesn't have a huge build up and drop off to the wall, it pulls consistant, slight hump at the end and a ROCK SOLID back wall, more so than any other Elite I have owned (Along with my E35 I had). The strings were built buy a good friend of mine and this was his first Energy 32 set. He put them on and it was timed perfect, which we could not believe based on some other binary cam bows. I had to tweak my Hunter and Answer in the past, this was right on.

I personally like the Elite grip, but I bought this stuff called "Rod Wrap" that adds a great feel to the bow. Very cheap and simple, you can see it in the bottom pic but it isn't a very good shot of it. At the shot the bow is dead. The weight of the bow and the stabilizers help obviously. Doesn't want to jump out of the hand. I do hear some string noise, which I assume is do to the fact that I removed the leaches to pick up some FPS. Nothing major, leaches won't be going back on. The one negative that I have is the need to turn the vanes to avoid cable contact. Not a big deal because it is a simple fix, but I did have to mark my vanes to show which is on top so that I don't forget in the field.

I think it is safe to say that I am very pleased with this bow. Hands down the best bow I have owned or shot. Lots of great bows on the market, this one fits me best.

How did you think it compared to your 13 hunter. I ask because I recently shot the 13 hunter and 32 back to back at a shop. I immediately liked the 32 better as it was much more dead (like my 35) in the hand than that hunter. I already had a 35 but was trying to decide on a hunting bow. Fast forward...i ended up getting a killer deal on a complete 13 hunter setup. I am telling you this little bow is the smoothest pulling and is absolutely vibe free at the shot. It is actually more so than my 35. It could be in part that I am shooting a grained out arrow in my 35 and a 400 gr arrow in the hunter. None the less I am actually shocked by this bow. Oh, and also way less vibe and shock than my 13 answer was.
I really liked my 13 Hunter. I had a 70lber and most recently a 60lber...I swear my 70 was smoother and easier to draw than that 60 was. I had a BT Destroyer 350 when they first came out, black. A buddy wanted a black one so I told him that if he got a camo on that I would trade him. They were set up the same and that black D350 blew the doors off that camo one. Weird how the same bows can have such different feels.

Anyway, if I had to pick 1, it would be the E32. The one knock on my Hunter was the speed, always wished it was just a touch faster, with the E32 I have that. I think the E32 has a better/more consistant draw than the Hunter (70) had and it is more dead in the hand.

One way to fix the top vane issue is to have the cock vane a different color. Did you ever consider getting an anti-torque rod? That Bearfoot guy on here sells them some people been saying it helps. Only downside it moves your sight a little more right and you can see the cable strings in your sights more. If your shooting good groups without it then won't need the rod but just curious.

Your E32 looks GREAT ! Have you shot it at all without the backbar? I have the same bow basically...Im running a 10" B stinger Sport Hunter out front...I have a B stinger strong arm bracket and a 8" B stinger sport hunter for a back bar but I havent even tried it yet....I bought it from a friend, but I like how the bow shoots so much I havent even messed with it.....If it helped alot Ill give it a try....??

No haven't take it off yet, I will though and PM you to let you know if it makes any major differences.

Nice looking set up Dustin, glad you like the Dead Level Hunter! Any turkeys yet?
Not yet. Haven't had time to go!

Good review.

All you have to do is rotated the cable guard a little bit and you shouldn't have any fletching contact.

I shot both the E bows and even though I prefer longer ATA bows, the 32 felt better to me. But neither one of the bows were set to my dl.

Skeet.

I probably should have tried the tape thing on my E grips before I traded them away. I traded my E32 on a 35 and it was a mistake. When the E 35 was loaded with sights and stabs, the bow would ride down till my thumb was in contact with the riser shelf/grip. The weight of the bow caused torque issues I could not overcome. The 32 is a great bow, wish I still had mine. That being, I'm back where I belong. Chill and ChillR nnnn

Rotate the cable guard like Skeeter stated. Check your center shot, it should be 3/4"-13/16" which should give you fletch clearance even with high profile vanes like blazers.

Not sure if others are just assuming you gain speed from taking the string leech off but I have tested this a few times on the E series and really have seen no difference with or without. Anybody else actually test this out ? Curious on your results
