I am looking to buy a bow within the next couple of months one that I am looking at is the quest drive. I had the opportunity to shoot it today and absolutely loved it. It was very smooth had a solid back wall and was very accurate. I also shot the rogue and was also impressed but I like the longer ata of the drive. I don't know a lot about quest bows I don't seem to find as much oppinions about them as I do others. other bows I am considering are the hoyt factor 34 and the prime alloy but have not shot those yet. how does quest stack up against hoyt and prime which I know is another g5 company.

The Quest line can hold it's own against anything out there. I have had my Primal for 4+ years now and it is still going strong. The Drive is a more refined version of that bow. Fit and finish is top notch. G5 is a major player and I expect them to continue on. CS is excellent when needed. The only issues I see are the distribution network is not as wide spread as the Hoyts and Mathews of the world so lots of guys are afraid to make the commitment. Drive is one of the best shootable bows out there.

The Drive utilizes the twin-track Flux cam system which is a binary system. It tunes very easy, likes a stiff arrow (at 63lbs shooting .340's). I had mine shooting bullets through paper after 6 shoots. The back is wall is solid (limb stops), there is minimal cam lean. The speed is respectable as i was getting 295-300fps when set at 70/29 with a 405grain arrow. It is a very smooth drawing bow however the valley can be the tricky part depending on where your actual draw length fall into place with the cam system. The grip may take some getting used to. It is a top value bow for the money spent.

Ordered my Drive on Monday and can't wait to get it. I test drove it in the shop 3 different times but knew I was going to buy it after the first time. Even at 70 lbs. and a light arrow it had minimal vibration. My arrows are 457 grains so I don't expect much vibration at all.

I met a guy at the local shop shooting one of these bows. First time I have sever seen one. That bow is QUIET, nice speed and he was slapping carbon at the range! That bow will be a cold blooded killer this deer season. First thing I did was come home and look up the Prime and Quest bows online. Really sparked my interest in these bows.

I had an Alloy and sold it because I didn't like the lack of valley and the bow always wanting to creep....others love them. When properly tuned the Prime bows are tack drivers and hard to beat.

I now own a Hoyt Faktor34 and G5 Drive. Both bows are very smooth to draw and on the shot with the Hoyt being just a bit smoother on the shot. I haven't compared them on the chrono yet but I expect them to be pretty close to each other....the Prime bows will be a few fps faster. The Drive draw mods require a press to change where the Hoyt doesn't but the Hoyt requires you to have the proper cam for your draw length. The Drive mods give 1/2 inch adjustment (27-27.5, 28-28.5, etc.) and if you need the even inch there is no valley, less let off and it wants to take off on you all the time. In the 1/2" setting it's a very pleasant bow to shoot. The slots for draw stop adjustment have room for extra adjustment so I called G5 and talked with a tech. He said I could set it longer and it would give me a longer draw plus more valley. I draw 27" so I ordered a set of 26-26.5 mods and set the draw stops all the way back. The bow is very comfortable to shoot now with no creep at all. The Drive has a little string noise so I tried a set of BowJax string silencers. The first arrow from 30 yards went left and hit the dirt in front of my 18-1 block....the second arrow hit the target left and just above the first arrow. The silencers are laying on my work bench now and the bow shoots fine. It took two arrows to get a bullet hole in paper and broadheads hit the same as my field points. The Drive sells for $150 less than the Hoyt or Prime bows but is not short on quality. It's a good looking bow with solid performance that I plan shooting many deer with. I like the Drive and Faktor34 equally and you will be happy with either of them.

This comment aged fantastically. G5/Prime has definitely become a major player. The Quest Drive mentioned here was my first exposure to Prime. I actually bought it at Cabela's. The fit and finish of the G-fade color scheme was way ahead of its time. Looking at the specs now its still a respectable bow!

If that quest has a plastic limb pocket, I would say no go just my opinion. I have an alloy and absolutely love it and the valley is beautiful.
Especially if it’s an alloy with PCXL cams
This is an 11 year old thread. The OP probably bought, or didn't buy, the bow at this point. Plus the fact that he's only got 48 posts in 12 years means that he probably won't even see this.
