Yes but he has said that bows are best when guns aren't allowed. But I still like him and his show he seems to be a good guy and is a great representative of sportsmen. There is a video of him talking to a vegan that tried to ambush him but he kept his cool and made a good argument on behalf of sportsmen.

There was an episode where he bow hunted javelina in remote TX maybe. It's the only hunting show I follow any more. No stupid commentary or product pushing, just hunting and cooking. Great guy and author.

I know the video you are talking about, here is a link to a thread I started about it www.archerytalk.com/vb/showthread.php?t=2235598

I've heard him on the joe rogan podcast a couple times. He said he prefers bow hunting but his show is called "meat eater". He said it's as much about cooking what he has killed so he hunts with a gun for the show to improve chances of killing an animal and then showing how he cooks it. Great show

I just finished reading one of his books "Meat Eater: Adventures from the Life of an American Hunter", one of the best books I've ever read. To answer your question, yes he bowhunts.
