Not sure what you have to hunt but sounds like your stand is to close to bedding. Jumping them once isn't the end of the world but multiple times and it'll be over. Also if you're hunting in his bedroom he won't put up with you leaving scent in it.
true that, you may end up having to scout different paths and set up where the water shows signs, he aint gone far, and with any luck, a doe will bring him a long during the rutt. youve still gotta a chance at your current position, just go in at the right time... slowly as you pass his head quarters .
get an attractant of some kind... a big corn pile if the laws permit it in your area. use a big pile. it will last a long while and you wont have to keep tending to it as often. provided no horses are around. even if you hunt else where, the deer will find it, hunt it when you see tracks to it.. leave it be till then. and hunt away from it. and reduce the hunting pressure if you can sense they are on to you. if the corns not getting touched, leave and come back to hunt when the tracks are present. timing , movement, and noise are to be taking very seriously if youre to get this deer. 1 more spook might be too many. often times, 1 time is all it takes, and the seasons over before you know it.
