The buck I shot on the 4th ran about 50 yards. Stopped and started twitching his tail fast. He took off running again. I found him 60 yards later. He ended up being 100 yards from stand. I never did hear him crash either. I think he stopped and just tipped over.

Good luck!!

Well you can rarely be "sure" of where you shot or the exact angle of the deer at the shot.

Here he is. Thanks for the help guys. The shot was a couple inches back from perfect. He was just out of sight but had bedded and died, not flipped belly up.

So, looks like you hit him behind shoulder, maybe slightly low considering he's only 8 yards away. Looked broadside but could have been slightly quartering to.

He jumps a couple steps then looks back like he's not even hit for a few seconds. Then walks off with head low and twitching his tail a lot.

One lung and liver?
Means he's done.

hope he finds that deer, would like to see pics. never made the connection with tail twitching and sign of death, but now looking back,I made a dbl lung, heart nick shot on a rut buck, and he bolted for about 60 yrds, then turned back as if to say WTH?, tail definitely twitching, then fell over dead within 20-30 secs.

Congrats! Looks like a big 7 pt? Big main frame, he's a beaut!
