As said above, wraps are the way to go. I am able to just peel mine off most of the time. But, if you do prefer to strip arrows,every time, I used to use a ZipStrip, and it works really well.
I've also used a Bohning, and it worked well but didn't last very long.
 
Worked at archery shop...Hated arrows that came in where a hammer and chisel was dang near needed to remove old vanes. Glue used for specifically for fletching is best...I like Bohning Platinum. Jig set correctly, arrow prepped well, and fletching is a breeze.

I liked the Sanders stripper. Pre-set angle and guide. The guide has "legs" so to stay aligned to the shaft. For thinner arrows the "legs" need trimmed a bit.

Completley the oppisite here. Shaving sharp knife to scrape glue off. Start by knocking off the high points then with light pressure and a real tight angle start shaving the rest off. If i cant pull the vane off ill slice it up the centre then shave off the sides
